An excerpt from UNCHURCHED by Emeka Nobis
Some months ago, a dear friend of mine introduced to me this book by Emeka. Whatever makes me go back to read a book the second time is an indication that it blessed me the first time. I read this book a second time and I thought, 'my blog readers should see this'. And so, I decided to post an excerpt from the book. Read below:
“I hate going to church. The pastors these days only talk about money and nothing else” ~ Girl I met in a taxi
“He say he be born again but he de carry woman.” ~ Mama Sikiratu my neighbour riling Brother John the Evangelist.
“This new generation church at the back of my house makes noise from morning till dawn in the name of all night prayers.”
~ Catholic friend
“They say power belongs to God but Pastor Chris didn’t win elections.” ~ Politician
“You Christians using tabs and iPads in church, can an iPad cast out demons?” ~ Colleague at the office
Those statements, uttered by real people, sent me on the path of observation and discovery. Religion stinks the nostrils of
God. It shackles folks and blinds them to the multidimensional application of God’s Word.
Can God be involved in business, sex, career and romantic relationships?
Yes, God can!
It’s time to break your myths. Jump into the pages. The exposé within will pull of the dark curtains shrouding the landscape of your life’s perspectives.
Below is the Table of Content. It should spur you into getting this book. It blessed me and I am sure that it will bless you too.
