Keep at it

Hello there. How is it going this Wednesday? Work? School? Business? I hope you are all doing fine. Another week is almost gone already. I want to use this opportunity to encourage you.
I was supposed to post something else today but I couldn’t help but blog an excerpt from a Bulletin I read in June. It spoke right into my heart and I am hoping that this will meet the need of someone out there. Here it is:

‘If you are discouraged, don’t give up without a fight. Nothing worthwhile ever happens without endurance and energy. You need to keep at it even when the expected output doesn’t seem forthcoming. Reaping the end of our faith is the result of staying with what we are doing more than the fact that we started.

When an artist creates a sculpture, he has to keep chipping away. He doesn’t hit the chisel with the hammer once, and suddenly all the excess stone falls away revealing a beautiful masterpiece. He keeps hitting it and hitting it, chipping away at the stone.

Accomplishing a journey of a thousand miles is the product of several persistent steps taken one after the other until the goal is reached.

And that’s true of life, too. Nothing really worthwhile ever comes easy in life. You keep hitting it and going after it, and little by little your life becomes a masterpiece of God’s grace.

The fact is, great people are really just ordinary people with an extraordinary amount of determination. Great people don’t know how to quit. The thing that achievers have above their creativity is their dogged persistence and perseverance even in the face of contradictory evidences to the results desired.’
